Just writing this as the husband supporting my wife through her breast reduction and tummy tuck (“mummy makeover”) in Bangkok, because choosing to go overseas for surgery is a big decision. From the very first contact, the communication was outstanding. Anders and Chita were brilliant to deal with right from the word go. Everything was clear, prompt, and reassuring, but what stood out was that there was never any pressure. They gave us options and talked through what would work best for us, including ways to make the whole trip as comfortable and stress-free as possible. When we arrived in Bangkok (which was pretty overwhelming coming from a small town in NZ), Anders was immediately contactable and made us feel at ease straight away. That first interaction set the tone for the whole experience. During the consultation phase, Anders and Chita stayed with us the entire time. They knew Sharlene was nervous and made sure she felt supported, understood, and comfortable asking questions. That personal support made a huge difference. What really stood out over the whole journey was how genuine and down-to-earth they both are. This wasn’t a “service provider” relationship — they felt more like friends by the end of it. Easy to talk to, relatable, and always willing to help. Throughout recovery, they were incredibly empathetic to Sharlene’s needs. They checked in regularly, responded quickly to any questions, and made sure we never felt like we were on our own. The surgery itself went very well, and we were really happy with the surgeon they recommended — that gave us a lot of confidence going into it. The hotel they arranged was also a great fit for recovery, comfortable and convenient, which made a big difference in those early days post-op. We’ve now been back in New Zealand for about a month, and looking back, we’re extremely glad we chose Bangkok Health Service. We were initially hesitant about using a company outside NZ or Australia, but the level of care, support, and value we received was outstanding. A special mention again to Anders and Chita — we genuinely appreciate everything you did for us and the way you looked after Sharlene through the whole process. If anyone is considering going down this path and feeling unsure like we were — I’d say don’t be afraid to ask questions and explore it. For us, it was absolutely the right decision.

I have to say, Anders and his wife are remakable people. Hence, I recommend Bangkok Health service to anyone from NZ and Australia. One major problem I encountered with NZ and Australian based medical tourism companies, was due to the "Kon Tiki Tour" like nature of their packages, they were so busy organizing larger group tours, they simply didnt reply to my emails or FB queries. Anders patience with me while I organized things back home, really stood out. What also makes Bangkok Health Service superior is they are based in Bangkok, this ensures local knowledge and smoother relationships. The Glow Bangkok Riverside Hotel is a great example of this. I couldnt think of a better place to stay, or a district, Dusit, to chill out and recover in. The hotel staff are exceptional and the locals around the hotel are not interested in selling you anything at all. A sharp contrast to some other tourist heavy areas of Bangkok where many medical tourists wind-up. The hotel is only a 20 to 30 minute drive away from Yanhee Hospital depending on traffic, and if you are brave a 45-60 minute walk from your accomodation. Honestly, the Yanhee hospitals 4th floor where you will meet your consultant/specialist has to be seen to be believed... the efficiency, cleanliness, organization... Wow! I wish I had taken a photo, it blows anything in New Zealand or Australia out of the water. A final thing to add is while the Bangkok Health Service certainly cater for folks with all manner of plastic surgery concerns. They also cater for folks with more serious medical complications like hip or knee transplants and surgery, for example, in a manner few medical tourist companies are capable of doing. I wish Bangkok Health Service all the best, because, they clearly are the best.

I felt very comfortable and confident from the very beginning that I was in good hands. Anders checked on me frequently, but also at the same time allowed me the independence and privacy to take care of things too. Highly recommend!
